I'm 41 and work as a software consultant. I live near Washington DC. I work out seven days a week, two of those days include racquetball. I plan to lose 28 lbs and get my body fat percentage down to 20% in around 60 days. This year if I can maintain those two stats, I will have accomplished my goal! Good luck everyone!

Which one "hurts" the most? :)

If you could do both, that would be ideal. One for the cardio part and the other for the muscle building part.

Hey Richard, yeah I haven't seen much progress lately. I actually dont count calories. I just make sure to eat small portions several times a day and keep the carbs to a minimum. I think you're right about my body adjusting to the routine.

So I've added weight training to the mix to help increase lean muscle. What do you think of that vs changing the elliptical program?

Looks like you hit a major plateau -- you need to change up your diet. Are you pretty consistent with your required calorie intake? Your body must be getting use to whatever you're doing.

Looks like the line on the weight is still sloping -- definitely a good thing! But be careful of the fried foods! If you do, make sure your backup plan is a vigorous workout afterwards so that it doesn't cause too much damage. Soda is also a "non-friendly", avoid it like the plague.

Looks like I've had a couple setbacks this week. I dont like seeing those spikes! I attribute them to a big dinner on Tuesday, and another one last night that was high-calorie and fried. I'd planned to cut down on my carbs this week and I actually did the opposite. Hmmm. On the good side, I worked out every day and got my rqb games in so I still consider myself on track.

Regrouping for this coming week: Drink a lot more water, back to healthy snacking during the day, elliptical every day. If anyone has some more tips for me, fire away!

Hey King. I just got a real eye opener. I went to Red Rock Canyon Grill last night and ended up 3 lbs heavier today. Didn't know mashed potatoes were so serious. LOL More work to do this week.

Thanks for checking in. Peace.
